Tony Wheeler
Tony Wheeler has a Ph.D. in Family Life Education and Consultation from Kansas State University. He also has a Masters Degree in Family Therapy Studies and has been a counselor for over 17 years. He works with Dr. John Trent, author of The Blessing, (with Gary Smalley), as a faculty chair for Dr. Trent's ministry, StrongFamilies. Tony is also the Director of Counseling and Marriage and Family Ministry at Highlands Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is the founder and president of Wheeler Ministries, a ministry of counseling and seminars. He has been married for 20 years to his wife, Stacey, and has three children ages 18, 16 and 13.
Dr. Wheeler has a passion to help people find freedom and hope through a deeper relationship with Christ. He has been a counselor since 1989 and has counseled hundreds of individuals, couples, and families and seen people find freedom from marital issues, parenting issues, shame issues, multiple personality disorders, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, infertility, sexual identity issues, and many other issues people face today.
Dr. Wheeler is also a dynamic speaker, who speaks with passion and humor on marriage and family topics. He has a direct pulse on the problems families face today because of the hours spent in his counseling ministry. He speaks at marriage retreats, family camps, women's and men's ministry groups, singles groups, church services, and at corporate events.
Blueprint Seminars: Each seminar can be taught as a 45-minute keynote, three- hour session, six-hour session, or nine-hour session (usually a Friday night and all day Saturday.) Blueprint For Marriage "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." Ephesians 5:21
There are two levels of commitment in a marriage. These two commitment levels will be taught and couples will be encouraged to deepen their relationship to their spouse in both levels of commitment. The two areas of the characteristic, Worth, will also be explored. We were all created for unconditional love, but many of us have been through trials and faced abandonment and rejection that are affecting our ability to have Self-Worth, or to give Worth to our spouse and children. Many couples that have attended this seminar have found freedom and hope.

Three Principles of Parenting will be taught that have helped Dr. Wheeler and his wife, Stacey, raise their three kids, Isaac, Adele, and Audrey. Aly respond to your yelling because they know the action is about ready to start! This seminar will teach you how to skip the yelling and go right to the action and create an atmosphere of love and respect in your home. Blueprint For Communication I'm Responsible. We are responsible for the words that come out of our mouths.
God-honoring communication comes from a right heart that is committed to having healthy, loving relationships. This seminar will explore the Three Levels of Commitment and how they affect communication in a marriage and in parenting. The Four Natural Reactions for Self-Protection (Everybody has one!) will be explored with an emphasis on learning to have loving and healthy communication with our families and others. Blueprint For Families With Special Needs Children. Statistics show that eight out of ten marriages with a child who has special needs in the home end in divorce.
Dr. Wheeler has had the opportunity to teach this seminar for Joni Earicson Tada's Ministry and has a desire to help families with special needs children have a committed and healthy marriage and family. The Six Proven Characteristics Of Strong Families will be explored with an emphasis on the specific challenges that a family with a child who struggles with Autism, Learning Disorders, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, or any other special need might face.
